Bar-wrapped Cylinder Concrete Pipe (BCCP)
Bar-wrapped Cylinder Concrete Pipe (hereinafter referred to as BCCP) is a new patented product successfully developed by our company through three years of research and improvement. Its structural design complies with SL702-2015 and GB 50332, and refers to the American AWWA C303 standard.
(Patent Certificate for Invention ¨C Title: Concrete Pipe; Patent No.: ZL 2014 1 0252171.3;Utility Model Patent Certificate ¨C Title: A Fine Aggregate Concrete Coated Bar-wrapped Cylinder Concrete Jacking Pipe; Patent No.: ZL 2015 2 0366856.0;Utility Model Patent Certificate ¨C Title: A Bar-wrapped Cylinder Concrete Pipe; Patent No.: ZL 2015 2 0085813.5) This product improves the BCCP pipeline structure specified in the American AWWA C303 standard:cold-rolled deformed prestressed steel bars are wound around a thick spirally welded steel cylinder; concrete pipe core is cast on the inner wall, and fine aggregate concrete protective layer is cast on the outer wall; the pipe adopts steel socket-and-spigot joints with double rubber gaskets.
Product Performance
Cold-rolled deformed prestressed steel bars are adopted with prestress controlled at 70%, resulting in a low stress level of the steel bars. They bear loads together with the steel cylinder, overcoming the problem of steel bar stress embrittlement caused by high stress, thus greatly improving the durability and safety of the pipeline.
BCCP adopts a relatively thick steel cylinder, featuring excellent impermeability, high pressure-bearing capacity and increased longitudinal stiffness.
The C50 coarse-fiber fine aggregate concrete protective layer is cast onto the deformed steel bars, providing superior performance of higher density, high strength, high tensile resistance and excellent corrosion resistance.
The pipeline adopts flexible socket-and-spigot joints sealed with double rubber gaskets, enabling convenient installation and pressure testing, strong adaptability to foundations and excellent seismic performance.
The sockets and spigots are protected against corrosion with high-grade American 7000AR paint, and the contraction joints at the connection between sockets/spigots and concrete are sealed with elastic materials to prevent corrosion of the joints.
The pipe body is externally coated with epoxy coal tar pitch for corrosion protection. Cathodic protection is not required under normal conditions.
BCCP pipelines can be used both underground and in open air.
Application Scope
BCCP pipelines are suitable for various buried and exposed pressure pipelines, and can be used in water transmission and distribution networks, pressure sewers, and industrial pressure piping systems.
Common diameters: ¦µ500mm¨C¦µ2600mm. Pipes with larger or smaller sizes can be manufactured according to customer requirements.
Common working pressure: 1.0MPa¨C2.0MPa. The working pressure can reach 2.7MPa in accordance with C303 standard. Pipes with higher or lower working pressure can be produced as requested by customers.
